Farnborough Business Park is a prestigious and impressive business hub, perfectly located close to the M3 motorway, with superb links to rail and air travel.
The Park is home to many local, national and international businesses, from start-ups to multi-million pound companies. The Park is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens and we have created a dynamic and exciting working environment for the staff working at the various offices.
Ashdown Phillips worked closely with the landlord prior to their purchase of the Park in 2012, assisting with due diligence, planning and service charge consultation.

Rationalising the service charge
Ashdown Phillips provided due diligence and consultancy prior to the purchase to quickly identify key areas for improvement. We reviewed the service charge, carefully evaluating each area of spend and re-allocating it to balance the services offered. In year 1 we retendered the Landscaping and Mechanical and Electrical contracts and in year 2 the security contract, to ensure value for money and commitment.

Managing future redevelopment
Show Working closely with the Landlord to improve FBP's facilities and services, Ashdown Phillips has introduced a range of new initiatives during 2013, including the following: a range of high standard, concierge style services (dry cleaning, flowers and gifts, car valeting); participative events for tenant company employees, such as Christmas Wreath Making, Live Wimbledon Tennis on the Big Screen and Halloween Pumpkin Carving; and in overall terms a much more visible, proactive and communicative approach to managing the park and tenant/key stakeholder relationships. In early 2014, construction of the next phase of new buildings at FBP will commence and the facilities and services currently in place across the existing estate will be rolled out to them.
Ashdown Phillips will continue to refine the current facilities offering for tenants and other new developments are in the pipeline. These include the introduction of hand held technology for the security team to assist with patrols and facilities service issue reporting; improved catering and vending offerings in The Hub and Templer buildings; and a tenants' events calendar for 2014. The success of the on-site management team will continue to be based upon a professional, engaging and friendly approach to ensure life on the Park runs smoothly for the companies and people who work here.
